We’d like to thank the Merrick School of Business (University of Baltimore), Professor JC Weiss, and Open Society Institute for awarding Goaldiggers The Sankofa Project $4000.00 this past December. Our team completed the Social Enterprise Course and competed alongside 6 non-profits for funding to jump start a viable business to support the work of our program.  We are grateful and proud to have been selected to participate.

Goaldiggers The Sankofa Project is in its third year!  We are excited to share that since our inception, our 15 girls have experienced great success; 100% of our matriculated seniors have graduated high school.  Over 92% of our graduating seniors have gained college acceptance (over 80% are first generation) attending (University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Morgan State University, Coppin State University, Hampton University, Clark Atlanta University, University of Baltimore, Catonsville Community College).  Our remaining high school students are in advanced placement and competitive college preparatory courses at Western and City Neighbors High Schools).  We have successfully ethnically DNA tested our girls and advisory and shared the findings with the families and supporters of our program, shifting ALL of our lives greatly! Imagine knowing for the first time in over 400 years, scientifically, the origins of your ethnicity, well, WE DO! We have one Final objective to complete with our inaugural cohort and we NEED YOUR HELP!  Help get our girls get to GHANA, West Africa for the cultural immersion voyage!
